Dave Hernandez is a former guitarist and bass player for The Shins. He currently lives in Seattle and took the time to share three awkward celebrity encounters he had with Rick Rubin, Ian MacKaye, and David Lovering. All of them are great, but the time he met Lovering, the drummer for The Pixies, is priceless.
I won’t ruin it, but suffice it to say, the story involves a party, an annoyed Hernandez, and Lovering doing magic tricks.
